Why he might be annoying:

    I before E.
He suffered several vehicle-related injuries – two in particular – that altered his body and his face.
He was not above using rubber or latex – just for starters – in his designs.
Curiously, his first perfume brand – Angel, of which Hillary Clinton (!) is a fan – didn’t come out until 1992.
His first ‘for men’ fragrance would only come out in 1996 (A*men, short for Angel Men).
The phenomenon of celebrity models (and by extension fashion lines) had its genesis in his shows.

Why he might not be annoying:

Having studied classical dance in his pre-teens, he joined the ballet corps for the Rhin Opera a few years later.
Perhaps not surprisingly, he lists Christian Dior as a core inspiration.
    He was a bodybuilder.
Having retired from the brand due to financial losses on his fashion line, his perfume line remained as strong as ever. (A cosmetics line followed a few years later.)
Nevertheless, inspired by Sophia Loren’s performance in Boy on a Dolphin, he made an exception for the 2019 Met Gala: a ‘wet couture dress’ worn by Kim Kardashian.
‘The world is tough enough. There’s enough ugliness in real life, there’s no need to add to it.’
