    He has basically become the Alt Right's answer to Christopher Hitchens.
    He has been in academia for years, but only attained a cult following after he criticized the Canadian government's Bill C-16 on gender pronouns, in a lecture which subsequently went viral on YouTube (2016).
    He engaged in a contentious interview with Channel 4's Cathy Newman over freedom of speech and the LGBT community ('ha - gotcha!') (Jan. 2018).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He has called Fyodor Dostoyevsky the greatest novelist of all time.
    He reportedly learned to read at the age of 3.
    He earned degrees in political science and in psychology both from University of Alberta.
    He is an avid fan of Disney movies and frequently uses them in his lectures to illustrate his points about societal behavior (chiefly 'Pinocchio').
    In his series of viral videos, he highlighted that Bill C-16 posed a threat to free speech by limiting compelled speech.
    He has amassed more than 300,000 subscribers and his lecture videos have collectively received more than 14 million views (as of 2018).
    For instance, the Cathy Newman 'Gotcha' exchange alone received over 1.4 million hits on YouTube in less than a week.
