Best Known for his role of Gaston in the 1959 Best Picture winner 'Gigi'
Acted in 'Octopussy,' 'Can-Can,' 'Count Of Monte Cristo,' 'Swamp Thing,' 'The Swan' 'The VIPs' and 'Decameon nights'
Toured in a stage revival of 'Gigi' in the late 1980, this time playing Maurice Chevalier's former role

Why he might be annoying:

His real last name was hard to pronounce, so he changed it.
Some people pronounce Jourdan as Jordan.
Halfway through his bus and truck tour of 'Gigi,' he decided to stop singing his musical numbers and instead, lip sync to his own pre-recorded voice.
He was French.
He was in one of the hammiest James Bond films produced.

He was a sex symbol well into his 70's.
He lead a peaceful, quiet life away from Hollywood.
He had a perfume named for him.
He was able to make the transition from leading man to character actor with ease.
He refused to do Nazi Propaganda films during WW II; instead he fled to America.
