The Resume

    (July 29, 1933- )
    Born in Troy, New York
Birth name was Leonard Leroy Lee
Acted in 'The Brain from Planet Arous,' 'Teenage Thunder (both 1957),' 'Return of the Seven (1966),' 'Incident at Phantom Hill (1969)' and 'The Hard Ride (1971)'
Portrayed Jess Harper on 'Laramie' (1959-63)
Portrayed Cooper Smith on Wagon Train (1963-65)
Portrayed Dr. Kelly Brackett on Emergency! (1972-77)

Why he might be annoying:

He did ads for Budweiser Malt Liquor.
He legally changed his name from Buddy Lee to Robert Simpson Jr. to Robert Fuller (he ranks third in Hollywood between Danny Thomas and Jane Wyman for most legal changes to the birth name).
He allegedly taught child castmate Dennis Holmes to curse, smoke and drink on the set of Laramie (he would have been between ten and twelve if true).
His job on Hollywood Squares was to intentionally give the wrong answer but in a way that might fake the contestant out.
He is the only Walker, Texas Ranger guest star ever to be killed off twice in the same episode (it was a dual role).
His last starring film role was the legendary flop 'Megaforce' (when asked if it was as bad as critics claimed, he answered, 'No, I'd call it worse').

Why he might not be annoying:

He was horse rancher and avid outdoorsman.
He did a tour of duty in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked at Grauman's Chinese Theater as an assistant manager before pursuing a movie career.
He can be seen behind Marilyn Monroe in the famous Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend number from 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' as a backup dancer.
He was an uncredited extra in Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus.
He was a gifted vocalist who recorded a hit album in Germany but didn't let it go to his head.
He was friends with Julie London and Bobby Troup for years prior to doing 'Emergency!' and would remain so years after the show's end.
He was a good sport when the show's focus shifted to Gage & DeSoto (rather he enjoyed that it let him work part-time).
Contrary to rumor he did not replace Robert Horton 'Wagon Train' - Horton left two years prior (Denny Miller replaced him).
