Why she might be annoying:

Most of her acting roles were in her father's movies and TV show.
Alfred Hitchcock said he was 'relieved' when she gave up acting to raise her three daughters.
She has a reputation as a difficult interview, with one reporter commenting, 'Hitchcock's films may be scary, but his daughter is positively terrifying.'

Why she might not be annoying:

Her father vetoed her plans to attend college.
She studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and appeared on the London stage.
During filming of 'Strangers on a Train,' her father bet her $100 that she would not go up on the ferris wheel because of her fear of heights. When she did, he stopped the wheel with her chair at the top, turned off the lights and left her there for an hour. (He also never paid her the $100.)
She holds fundraisers for cystic fibrosis. (One of her granddaughters has the disease.)
