The Resume

    (June 1, 1961- )
Birth name is Paul Douglas Coffey
Played for Edmonton Oilers (1980-87), Pittsburgh Penguins (1987-92), Los Angeles Kings (1992-93), Detroit Red Wings (1993-96), Hartford Whalers (1996-97), Philadelphia Flyers (1997-98), Chicago Blackhawks (1998), Carolina Hurricanes (1998-2000) and Boston Bruins (2000-01)
Three time Norris Trophy Winner (1985, 1986, 1995)

Why he might be annoying:

He played for too long and way past his prime.
He decided to sign with Boston because of his Hall-of-Fame defenseman credentials, which backfired miserably.
As his value decreased from being traded in blockbuster deals, he was traded for sparingly used players and draft picks near the end of his career.
He bitched about playing in Hartford, but had no problem playing for the franchise in Carolina when they traded for him two years later.
He was traded for Marty McSorley twice.
He went from being a 100+ point player to a 15 point player in the last few seasons of his career.
He cried when he got traded to Hartford.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He won Stanley Cup rings with both Wayne Gretzky's Oilers (1984, 1985 & 1987) & Mario Lemieux's Penguins (1991).
He was an extremely high scoring defenseman when he was in his prime breaking the 100 point barrier five times.
He was in the 1996 blockbuster that sent him & Keith Primeau to Hartford for Brendan Shanahan.
He relinquished his number 77 when he signed with Boston, choosing 74 because he felt that Ray Bourque should be the only person in Boston who wore 77 with the Bruins.
He was an offensive defenseman on many powerful teams in Edmonton, Pittsburgh and Detroit.
He was inducted into the Hockey Hall-of-Fame (2004).
