The Resume

    (July 1, 1976- )
    Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
    White House correspondent for NBC
    Co-anchor of ‘Weekend Today’
Moderated the second Trump-Biden presidential debate (October 22, 2020)

Why she might be annoying:

When she was chosen as moderator, Trump tweeted, ‘She's always been terrible & unfair, just like most of the Fake News reporters.’
Defenders of her impartiality noted that she was registered to vote with no party affiliation, while generally glossing over the fact that she had registered as a Democrat previously.
She broke with the tradition of having the last presidential debate focus on foreign policy.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was a former ‘Today’ intern.
Her questioning of Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen about young girls being held in border detention facilities inspired the #WhereAreTheGirls movement
She managed to stay calm while dodging two lighting rigs blown over by strong winds during a live broadcast outside the White House (April, 2020).
She was named Outstanding Broadcast Journalist at the Washington Women in Journalism Awards (2020).
She was widely praised for maintaining control during the presidential debate, with Trump himself telling her, ‘I respect very much the way you’re handling this, I have to say.’
