Why he might be annoying:

    Despite being on the Canadiens playoff roster for their 1977 victory, he was ineligible to have his name engraved on the Stanley Cup, due to not playing a game in the Finals.
    He was thrown into the trade to the Capitals due to the fact he was Rod Langway's primary defensive partner with the Canadiens.
    Despite being one of the key pieces of the Canadiens-Capitals trade, he was traded away from the Caps a year later.
    His career ended prematurely as a result of injuries.
    He once scored in his own net during the 1983 World Championships, citing he was unfamiliar with the larger ice surfaces at the international level.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a standout defenseman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
    He won three Stanley Cup rings with the Canadiens (1977-79).
    He, along with Rod Langway, Doug Jarvis and Craig Laughlin are credited with being part of the trade that helped save the Capitals long-term future in Washington.
    His trade to Los Angeles brought the Capitals Larry Murphy as the player in return.
    He joined the broadcasting ranks in the years following his retirement from active play.
