Why he might be annoying:

    His family's actual surname was Kyriazopoulos, before his grandfather changed it to Carson when he emigrated to the United States from Greece.
    His career was defined by being part of the return the Oilers got in the 1988 Wayne Gretzky trade.
    He demanded a trade out of Edmonton a year later.
    He was unable to replicate his scoring touch, following his 55 goal season.
    He gradually went from being a top six forward early in his career to a depth role later on.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the second teenage player in NHL history to record 50+ goals in a single season, after Wayne Gretzky ironically enough.
    He is the first American born player in NHL history to accomplish the feat.
    He, along with Bob Kudelski set an NHL record by playing 86 games in a season (1993-94).
    He got the chance to play for his hometown Red Wings, after being acquired in a trade.
    He was the last player to wear #10 for the Red Wings, prior to the number being retired in honor of Alex Delvecchio.
