    What exactly is a Nordique?
    They drafted Eric Lindros despite the fact he said he wouldn't play for the team.
    They claimed to have dealt Eric to both the Flyers and the Rangers, but an arbitrator ruled in favor of the Flyers.
    They suffered many years of futility.
    They finished first in the Eastern Conference but still got eliminated by the eighth seed New York Rangers in the first round (1995).
    They traded Mats Sundin for Wendel Clark.
    They traded many of their home grown stars for little in return.
    They drafted problem child Bryan Fogarty ahead of Joe Sakic in the 1987 draft.

    They had a rivalry with the Montreal Canadiens which many called the Battle of Quebec.

    Ownership was forced to sell the team because of the changing financial landscape of the NHL.
    They were successful in convincing Peter Marian and Anton Stastny to defect from communist Czechoslovakia to play for the Nordiques.
    They wore the Quebec crests on their jerseys.
    They signed many Francophone players throughout the history of the franchise.
    Peter Forsberg won the Calder Trophy with them (1995).
    Guy LaFleur retired as a Nordique.
