The Resume

    (May 24, 1819-January 22, 1901)
Reigned during her self-titled 'Victorian Era' of England (1837-1901)
Allied with the French in the 'Crimean War,' which was England's only European war during the Victorian Era (1834)
United the colonies of Northern Canada and Southern Canada and granted them self-governing privileges (1840)
Sent British forces into the 'Opium War' in China (1840)
    Crowned Empress of India (1879)
Supported Zululand forces during the 'South African War (1899)'
Credited for the industrialization of Great Britain, home and abroad
Known as the 'Mother of the Empire'

Why she might be annoying:

She was incredibly stubborn, and often refused to listen to political advisors that disagreed with her views.
Three years into her reign, she married her cousin, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
She supported the Irish export of cattle and grains into England during the Great Potato Famine, and gave almost no relief to the Irish when almost half their population was starving to death.
She was so frantic about industry that she actually over-industrialized the English Isle, which lead to many ecological problems that still exist today.
When her husband Albert died, she went into a self-imposed seclusion for ten years of her reign.
    She suffers from depression.

Why she might not be annoying:

She imposed a diplomatic neutrality from European affairs, which allowed the English Empire to focus on it's own problems.
During this neutrality, she was able to spend English wealth on industrialization and expansionism, rather than pointless, expensive European war efforts.
She doubled the size of the English Empire during her reign, spreading her influence into some of the most remote places in the world.
She allowed most of her colonies to govern themselves, an innovation that prevented the empire from over-extending itself.
Despite being neutral in all European affairs, she made sure England still held onto it's secure placing as the number one naval force in the world in case anybody wanted to test that neutrality.
She was able to colonize overlooked areas of the world, such as India and South Africa, and discovered an abundance of expensive natural resources, which turned England into the wealthiest nation in the world.
Many natural wonders, monuments, styles, cities and even a couple cars are named in her honor.
She ruled as the Queen for 64 years, making her the second longest reigning monarch in the history of England.
She is considered one of the most influential woman in history.
    She was left handed.
