Hockey Coach

The Resume

    (circa 1881-March 6, 1929)
    Born in Canada
Birth name is Linton Muldoon Tracy
Head coach for the Portland Rosebuds (PCHA) (1914-1915), Seattle Metropolitans (PCHA) (1915-1924), Chicago Blackhawks (1925-1926) and the Seattle Eskimos (PCHL) (1928-1929)

Why he might be annoying:

Despite making the Rosebuds the first team from the U.S. to play in the Stanley Cup finals, his team lost to the Montreal Canadiens (1916).
The Blackhawks fired him after only one season.
Following his firing, a Toronto sportswriter reported that he allegedly placed a curse on the team which kept them away from first place until the 1966-1967 NHL season (there's no such thing as a curse!).
He died of a heart attack while making plans for a new team and ice hockey arena in Tacoma, Washington.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was nicknamed 'The Father of Seattle Hockey.'
Partially due to that, he coached the Seattle Metropolitans to the 1917 Stanley Cup making them the first team from the U.S. to win a professional ice hockey championship title.
Prior to his interest in ice hockey, he excelled in boxing, lacrosse and ice dancing.
He was the original head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks.
