Why she might be annoying:

She goes by a pretentious single name.
She acted in her first TV series ('Chiquilladas') at age two, and cut her first album at age nine.
Though uber-popular in Latin American countries, she is barely known in the U.S.
In her early 20s she developed a serious eating disorder; her weight at one point was a mere 75 pounds.
She opened her own clothing store in Mexico City in 2006 (called Anahí World), but it went out of business in just a few short months.
The tax administration of Mexico froze four of her bank accounts in 2006, accusing her of tax fraud (the issue was settled in court in 2008).

Why she might not be annoying:

She came from humble beginnings to become an international star.
As a member of RBD, in the five years they were together, they sold over 58 million albums worldwide.
During her eating disorder battle, at one time she was hospitalized, where her heart stopped for eight seconds until she was revived.
After winning her battle in 2008, with the support of Televisa, she started a campaign for anorexia-bulimia awareness.
When she launched her official website and twitter page in April 2009, she became the first Mexican star on twitter with over 3 million followers.
MTV Latin America had her and two other Latin pop singers perform the opening theme for their 2011 TV series 'Popland!'.
She further sang the opening theme for her 2011-12 telenovela 'Dos Hogares.'
In October 2011, she joined the Imagine One Billion Faces for Peace movement, inspired by the assassination of John Lennon, to help promote the message of non-violence throughout the global community.
