Why he might be annoying:

    Those who don't particularly care for his viewpoints call him a 'troll' thanks to his compact stature.
    He is an ardent support of labor unions.
    He made a failed run for Governor of Massachusetts (2002).
    His relationship with Bill Clinton may have been strained after he criticized Clinton's centrist positions in one of his books.
    He is proud to call himself a 'feminist.'
    Barbra Streisand threw a fundraiser for him.
    Right wing fiscal conservatives accuse him of being anti-capitalist.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He graduated Dartmouth, Oxford and Yale Law School.
    Time Magazine selected him as one of the Ten Most Successful Cabinet Members of the 20th Century.
    As Secretary of Labor, he oversaw a minimum wage increase and the passage of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
    He was a public policy professor at University of California-Berkeley.
    He served in the administrations of Republican Gerald Ford and Democrat Jimmy Carter.
    Though a liberal, he was quite critical of President Barack Obama's economic policies.
    He is a champion of what he calls the 'average working family.'
