Why he might be annoying:

He goes by his middle name rather than his birth name of Brian.
He was arrested for sexual assault during his tenure with Sault Ste. Marie of the Ontario Hockey League (2012).
The charges were dropped before they had a chance to reach the prosecution stage, which in turn allowed him to get off scot free.
He became a journeyman player following his departure from the Flyers, playing on five teams in a five year window.
His tenure with the Golden Knights was short, as he played seven games as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He was able to rebuild his reputation in the years following the sexual assault charges.
