In her meetings, people were more interested in the clothes she was wearing than in her speech.
She was accused of not having an electoral manifesto.
She wanted to rule Madrid, but she was born in Málaga, a town in Andalusia (in the south of Spain).
She is divorced.
She went to a bunch of protests against the war in Iraq, but she wasn't interested in those against terrorism, which is a real problem in Spain.
She is related to Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, the man who defeated her.

Despite knowing the she wasn't going to win, she held an aggressive electoral campaign.
She is a pacifist and an ecologist.
Within a few months, she became more popular than some ministers.
