Why he might be annoying:

    His career was plagued by injuries and inconsistency.
    He was touted by the Bills as being the franchise quarterback of the future, but was unable to meet expectations.
    He lost his starting job with the Bills to Doug Flutie during his first year with the team, which prompted a divisive debate amongst the team's fanbase.
    His tendency to get sacked by opposing defenses led him being nicknamed 'Robo-Sack' by football pundits.
    He started the Bills AFC Wild Card Game after team owner Ralph Wilson ordered Wade Phillips to bench Doug Flutie, who guided the team to the playoff berth, despite the fact he was primarily on the bench for most of the season (1999).
    His performance in that game was abysmal, but was overshadowed by the 'Music City Miracle.'
    He spent the rest of his career as a backup, following his tenure in Buffalo.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a member of the USC team that won the Cotton Bowl (1995).
    He was part of the Jaguars inaugural draft class.
    He played well in relief of Mark Brunell, which led him to be highly sought after by other clubs for the 1998 season.
    He earned a Super Bowl ring as a member of the Buccaneers (2002).
    He served as a high school football coach in the years following his retirement from the NFL.
