Voice Actress

The Resume

    (October 14, 1955-August 24, 2023)
Born in Washington, District of Columbia
    Middle name is Francis
Voice of Harley Quinn on 'Batman: The Animated Series' and Batman-related media
Wrote episodes for 'Tiny Toon Adventures'
Portrayed Calliope Jones on Days of Our Lives
    No relation to Aaron Sorkin

Why she might be annoying:

She could pass as Carol Kane's twin.
When she was let go as a co-host for America's Funniest People and replaced with Tawny Kitaen she filed a wrongful termination suit against ABC alleging she was fired due to her race (even though Kitaen was white too...).
Paul Dini got the idea to make her Harley Quinn after seeing her character play a roller-skating jester in a dream sequence on Days of Our Lives.
No matter what she's ever done, very rarely can anyone name another project of hers outside of the DC Animated Universe.
She did perform as a radio caller for Frasier, but her lines would always be dubbed over by a celebrity caller.
She retired from voicing Harley after doing DC Universe Online (the role is now split between Tara Strong and Hynden Walch).

Why she might not be annoying:

Her 'Harley Quinn' character was supposed to be a one-off character gag created for a Joker-centric episode.
The character proved so popular that Harley became a canon figure in the actual Batman comics.
She based her voice performance as Harley on Judy Holliday in Born Yesterday.
She sang the masochist anthem 'Say That We're Sweethearts Again' in an episode of Batman that established the character as a torch songstress (all Harley-related media has played off of this since then).
Her version of Harley is seen as the definitive version over Tara Strong's or Margot Robbie's.
Her favorite episodes of Batman are 'Harley's Holiday' and 'Harley and Ivy.'
She said: 'I see Harley as a girl who wants to do the right thing, but it's just not within her control. She wants to be a good girl but it's so much more her to be a bad one. I think she's popular because of her vulnerability.'
She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for 'Days of Our Lives' in 1988 and '89.
