Why she might be annoying:

    She mothered two children out of wedlock with producer Patrick Filmer-Sankey.
    When the opening night of John Osborne’s ‘The World of Paul Slickey’ was greeted with booing, she gave the audience a two-finger salute and shouted ‘Go fuck yourselves.’ (1959)
    In ‘Dr. Zhivago,’ she portrayed Julie Christie’s mother despite being only ten years older.
    She noted about working with Kubrick, ‘I used to get his name wrong – I called him Sidney. That used to drive him mad.’
