Why New Orleans, Louisiana might be annoying:

    Between the years of 1763 and 1803, it was transferred to the Spanish from the French (1763), ceded back to the French (1800) and sold to the United States (1803).
    A fire destroyed much of it, including 856 houses, in 1788.
    It's biggest natural disasters are hurricanes and floods.
    The French Quarter of the city is believed to be haunted by slaves who were killed there by their slave masters.
    You can take tours of New Orleans' 'ghostly past' by visiting a place called 'Rev. Zombie's Voodoo Shop.'
    A Real World season was set here (1999).
    After taking off from New Orleans International Airport, Pan Am Jet 759 crashed and killed 153 people.
    They have a problem with a rat-like creature called nutria. The nutria disrupt catfish farming, flood control and destroy rice and sugar fields. The nutria are native to South America but have mysteriously invaded the swamp areas of the Southern United States.
    Many of the 'Girls Gone Wild' videos have been filmed here.
    In addition to being known as 'the Big Easy,' it's also been called 'the City that Care Forgot.'

    It's historically rich.
    The War of 1812 ended here when General Andrew Jackson, during the Battle of New Orleans, defeated the British.
    It's a melting pot, with its population being made up of Caucasians, French, Afro-Americans, Italians, Irish and Hispanics.
    Along with Atlanta and Miami, it's considered one of the premier cities in the South.
    The coldest it gets during winter is about 55°F.
    It's believed that Jazz was 'conceived in New Orleans before moving up the Mississippi River to Memphis, St. Louis and Chicago.'
    Some of the worlds best and most noted Jazz and Blues musicians come from New Orleans.
    It's the home of The Superdome, which has hosted six Super Bowls (XII, XV, XX, XXIV, XXXI and XXXVI) and college football's Nokia Sugar Bowl.
    The Howard Stern Show was taped in New Orleans during the NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executive) Convention (January 29, 1999).
