Why he might be annoying:

He married a woman 26 years his junior.
He gave up the presidency to a man (Yuan Shikai) who later proclaimed himself emperor.
His dream of a fully democratic China never reached fruition on the mainland.
The Chinese Communist party used his name to promote their own causes, even though he was not a communist.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was very persistent through many failed revolutions.
He wanted to replace the corrupt Ching monarchy with an elected government.
He was a devout Christian, but not a fundamentalist.
His political party, the Kuomintang, is still around.
Many of his political ideas, such as separation of powers, were inspired by the US system of government.
Democracy exists in Taiwan because of him.
He was a qualified medical doctor.
