Why he might be annoying:

His origin, especially his ethnicity, was pretty much a mystery, although some say that he was of either Persian or Turkic descent.
His achievements were overshadowed by later Islamic philosophers, especially Avicenna.
One of his books sounded like he supported alchemy.
Some of his thoughts were partly influenced by his Sufi background.
The book ‘Theology of Aristotle,' which was widely regarded as one of his works, was actually written by some Neoplatonic writer other than him.
When he went to Aleppo, where he met with the ruler Saifuddawlah, he took Saifuddawlah’s seat instead of the one given to him.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was considered one of the greatest Muslim philosophers during his time.
According to him, one person can’t master everything without the help of other people.
He wrote that music can be used as a therapy for the soul.
In fact, he was a very talented musician who could make people laugh or cry by just playing music.
    He spoke seventy languages.
He managed to impress Saifuddawlah by saying, ‘Anyone who acts in a hurry eventually repents quickly,' and later served at his court.
