Why he might be annoying:

    He bears a striking facial resemblance to fellow player Mike Commodore.
    He chose to forgo his last two years of college eligibility to sign a pro contract with the Blue Jackets.
    He bounced around the NHL for a number of years, before landing his first full-time gig with the Islanders.
    He racked up a career high 189 penalty minutes in his first full NHL season (2008-09).
    His final team was the Chicago Blackhawks, but was told not to report to their farm affiliate in Rockford after the deal was official (2016).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the first player from the Minnesota State University–Mankato program to be drafted by an NHL team.
    He is also the first MSU–Mankato alumnus to play in an NHL game.
    He was considered a classy player, despite his reputation of being tough-as-nails on the ice.
    He scored sixteen seconds into a game, which was considered the fastest goal in NHL history by a player on his birthday (November 14, 2009).
    He opted to retire from playing in order to focus on getting his degree in education from MSU–Mankato.
