Why he might be annoying:

He refused to retire and signed with rival Oakland Raiders when the San Francisco '49ers cut him, saying 'I still have football in me.'
His mint rookie trading card has current market value of $500 (for a piece of cardboard).
    He is a fitness fanatic.
He sawed the cast off his leg in 1997 on opening day (after rupturing tendons), so he could play despite doctor's advice.
However, when he played in week 16, he scored a touchdown but broke his kneecap in the process.
His hair has gone from flat top to receding hairline to shaved head back to receding hairline with cornrows in back.

Why he might not be annoying:

He makes players guarding him look silly.
He is a devoted family man that donates time and money to various charities, including the March of Dimes, Packard Children's Hospital, the Nike P.L.A.Y. Program, Team-Up for Healthy Kids, The Jerry Rice '127' Foundation, the United Negro College Fund and AIDS Research.
He is a genuinely nice guy with easy going charm.
He rarely gets angry and will almost always sign autographs.
He owns nearly EVERY NFL and Superbowl receiving record.
He donates his time to the March of Dimes for needy children.
