Why he might be annoying:

    He never played in the post season as a result of spending most of his career in losing teams.
    He was hampered by an arm injury which led to him having limited playing time and was unable to perform a his fastball in the 1931 season.
    He was nicknamed 'Sunday Teddy' due to manager Jimmy Dykes's decision to have him pitch on Sundays (1939-42).
    He was the AL leader for errors committed as a pitcher with 7 (1928).
    He pitched in his worst season as he lost 21 games and was the AL leader for wild pitches with 10 in the 1933 season.
    His managerial career was uneventful.

    He was a White Sox fan favorite.
    He got his first two career wins through two doubleheaders.
    He excelled in tossing a sailer (cut fastball), knuckleball, curveball, and a changeup before he injured his arm in the 1931 season.
    He threw a one hour and 45 minute no-hitter (August 21, 1926).
    He served in World War II as he fought in the Pacific War as a Marine.
    He retired from his playing career with the White Sox records of 260 wins, 484 games started and 356 complete games.
    His #16 is retired by the White Sox.
