The Resume

    (July 9, 2021- )
    An Internet Movie Database Original
Created by John Rogers and Chris Downey
    Top: Beth Riesgraf as Parker
    Bottom, left to right:
Aldis Hodge as Alec Hardison (recurring)
    Aleyse Shannon as Breanna Casey
    Noah Wyle as Harry Wilson
    Gina Bellman as Sophie Devereaux
    Christian Kane as Elliot Spencer
A year after the death of their original Mastermind, the Leverage team reunites to take on the wealthy and powerful, who have since reworked the rules and laws to simplify their abuse of the ordinary person

Why Leverage: Redemption might be annoying:

Nate Ford’s death was based on charges made against Timothy Hutton — on a decades-old harassment account.
All episode titles follow the structure of its predecessor (‘The ______ Job’).
With Parker being named the new Mastermind in the original finale, having Sophie take the leadership position became an early plot point.
There is one agency in the world that terrifies the team to death… the RCMP (for, among other things, stealing the Stanley Cup!).
Because of Hodge’s commitment to other projects, Hardison would become a guest or recurring character as of the third episode.

Why Leverage: Redemption might not be annoying:

Rare by modern standards, there were four executive producers!
What started as a 13-episode season eventually resulted in eight front episodes and eight back episodes (for 16).
For all the talk of its ‘comfort food’ style, countless scenes – especially those involving Breanna or Sophie – play out with highly realistic results.
There was finally an in-universe justification for Parker’s use of ‘Only One Name’: her lost birth certificate!
Several first-season episodes were directed by Wyle (with two by Riesgraf).
Those without streaming services may still be able to catch the series depending on their providers’ channel packages.
