Why he might be annoying:

    Divorced Diana Hart.
He got hooked on pain killers (Morphine) when he hurt his back from a fall in a match.
His wife Diane, swallowed a full bottle of 100 Xanax tablets in a fit of rage, to show him the effects of drugs. She then called 911 and her heart stopped four times in the ambulance (1998).'
His wife put him into to drug rehab, then Vince McMahon put him in drug rehab and finally the police forced him into rehab.
During his rehab days, his wife left him.
He rode motorcycles wearing a nazi style helmet.
He paid WWF $100,000 to end his contract so he could sign with WCW
When his partner Dynamite Kid was dropped from the British Bulldogs, he took the name British Bulldog.
His estranged wife had him arrested after he threatened her and her sister Ellie Hart (October 2000). Two days later he was rearrested for again threatening her.
Pro wrestler Bret Hart had stopped speaking to Smith and both of his sisters, because he was upset by the way they reacted to Owen Hart's death.

Why he might not be annoying:

After seeing his wife almost die from taking 100 Xanax tablets, he entered drug rehab (January 1, 1999). He completed a seven week stay.
He was later diagnosed with a spinal fracture with staff infection, and was put on a morphine drip in the hospital. He once again became addicted to morphine.
    His sister died at twenty-seven.
His brother-in-law, Owen Hart died in a wrestling accident.
In his last match, he partnered with his sixteen year old son, Harry Smith (May 10, 2002).
