Full name was Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí Domenech
Produced hundreds of surrealist paintings, the most famous of which was 'The Persistence of Memory (1931)'
Wrote the autobiographical novel 'The Secret Life of Salvador Dalí'

He had a funky looking mustache.
He claimed that when he was a child, he kicked his toddler sister in the head and felt 'delirious joy.'

Why he might not be annoying:

In his later years, he became a figure in American pop art.
His older brother died in infancy.
He used his self-invented 'paranoiac-critical method' in which he painted what he saw in his subconscious.
He worked with film makers such as Walt Disney (in the short film 'Destino,' which was to be a sequence in 'Fantasia' but later abandoned) and Alfred Hitchcock (dream sequence in 'Spellbound').
