He dressed in drag for his role in 'Pricilla Queen of the Desert.'
He portrayed Superman's arch nemesis, General Zod in the 'Superman II' and then portrayed Superman's father on 'Smallville' years later.
He looks angry in many of his photos.
When dumped by model girlfriend Jean Shrimpton, he went on a 10 year sabbatical in India.
His photo was featured on punk band The Smiths album cover 'What Difference Does It Make.' He decided he didn't like the idea and made them change their cover.
He then changed his mind and allowed them to use it on their single cover.
He is rumored to have had an affair with Princess Diana, but claims only to flirting with her.

He founded a company in the 60's called 'The Stamp Collection' which sold a range of organic wheat and dairy free products for lactose intolerant people.
