Why he might be annoying:

When he lost the election to John Quincy Adams, he held a grudge.
He had more electoral votes, carried more states, and had almost 25% more popular votes, yet because of the additional candidates the election was thrown into the house of representatives.
The House selected Adams president.
He sent troops into Charleston South Carolina when they tried to nullify the protective tariff (1832).
His political views split the Republican party in two - The Democratic Republicans (Democrats) and National Republicans (Whigs).
He suffered from depression.
He signed and enforced the Indian Removal Act, which ordered the forced relocation of Cherokee Indians from Georgia to Oklahoma (1830 - 1832).

Why he might not be annoying:

He appears on the twenty dollar bill.
He was extremely popular among the people, but was not well liked by politicians.
For his inauguration party, he invited the citizens to the White House.
He was born after his father died.
During his inauguration, in which he invited common folk, much of the White House furnishings were destroyed, the party got so out of hand, he ended up sleeping in a hotel.
