He released a hoax video depicting himself breaking into a hangar and painting graffiti on Air Force One (2006).
Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed called him a copycat, noting that Grant De Porter had purchased the infamous Steve Bartman baseball and let fans vote on its fate in 2004.
Bonds said he was 'stupid' and an 'idiot.'
