Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He goes by the nickname 'The Toddfather.'
He is best remembered for an unorthodox home run he hit, when his bat slipped out of his hands when he was hitting the ball (2012).
He wanted to wear #21 for the Yankees, and was denied permission to speak to Paul O'Neill personally about wearing it by the team's clubhouse manager.
He publicly complained about the umpiring, going as far as saying he personally wanted to speak to Rob Manfred about it.
He failed to remain consistent enough to stay on a dreadful Pirates team for the 2021 season (yikes!!!).

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up in New Jersey as a fan of the Yankees, and fulfilled a childhood dream when he was acquired by the team in a trade.
He is a huge fan of Frank Sinatra, and uses Sinatra's songs as his walkup music.
On the day of his unusual home run, he saved a man's life by giving him the Heimlich maneuver, when he saw him choking on a piece of steak.
He was the first player in 25 years to win the Home Run Derby as a member of the host team.
He was considered the emotional leader for the Yankees during their 2017 playoff run.
