The Resume

Founded by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney (October 16, 1923)
    Headquartered in Burbank, California
Notable assets include Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, ABC, ESPN, Lifetime, ABC Family, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Entertainment, and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

Why The Walt Disney Company might be annoying:

The company had an early fallout over the distribution rights for the cartoon character Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
That cartoon character would soon fade out of the limelight for nearly eight decades.
The US and Canadian governments commissioned the studio to produce training and propaganda films.
Their theatrical releases in the 1970's and early 1980's had little commercial success. (Anyone remember 'The Black Hole'?)
They nearly sued the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences claiming they defamed their Snow White character in that 1989 shameful opening number, despite the fact that fictional character lasted centuries before the film.
An alleged feud between then-CEO Michael Eisner and ex-studio chief Jeffrey Katzenberg led to the latter quitting the company and forming Dreamworks SKG.
Eisner's mismanagement of the conglomerate in the 2000's eventually led to his departure.
In a blatant attempt to expand their entertainment sector, they bought Pixar in 2006 and Marvel in 2009.
The infamous commercial failure of 'John Carter' led to the demise of entertainment division head Rich Ross.
Perhaps other than Harvey Weinstein, they are one of the most aggressive lobbyists for the Academy Awards.

Why The Walt Disney Company might not be annoying:

They gave us Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and other memorable cartoons characters.
Many of their films were critical and commercial successes over the years.
Their theme parks attract millions of tourists each year.
They are one of the largest media corporations in the world.
They give TimeWarner a run for its money.
