Why she might be annoying:

She has been accused of a liberal bias.
She tends to play the role of a deadpan snarker to the radical right.
Her first stint on MSNBC, 'The Reid Report,' was short-lived.
She got into a feud with conservative pundit David French after she mischaracterized a story he wrote about the risk of a nuclear attack on urban centers.
The tweet said, 'Don’t worry, it will only kill Democrats and minorities.' She apologized and later deleted it.
She was ridiculed for decades-old blog posts regarding former Florida governor turned congressman Charlie Crist stating that he was a closeted gay man whose marriage to a woman gave him political cover (She also apologized to Crist).
Some people criticize her for being too reactive on Twitter.
Her Twitter followers affectionately refer to themselves as 'Reiders.'
She is essentially the Jemele Hill of politics.

She and her two siblings were raised by her mother solely after her father went back to Congo.
Her mother later died of breast cancer.
She taught a class at Syracuse University exploring race, gender and the media.
She tookover Melissa Harris-Perry 's slot on MSNBC after the latter was fired by the network.
