    Member of the Hungarian national team (1948-56)
    Hungarian Football Federation Player of the Year (1954)
    Fell to his death from the fourth floor of a hospital in Barcelona

Why he might be annoying:

    He was considered too quiet by his peers.
    Despite being considered one of the greats of his era, he is largely unknown to modern soccer fans.
    He hated doing interviews or getting recognition for his accolades.
    He was exiled from his homeland of Hungary following a student-led revolution in 1956, and never returned to the country for the remainder of his life.
    His death was suspicious, with some sources ruling it a suicide, while others ruled it accidental.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was considered a prolific goal scorer by European soccer pundits.
    He led the Hungarian league in scoring three times during his career (1951, 1952, 1954).
    He recorded seven hat tricks as a member of the Hungarian national team which set a club record.
    He was a member of the Hungarian national soccer team that won an Olympic gold medal (1952).
    He was diagnosed with both leukemia and stomach cancer, months prior to his death.
