Vocalist

The Resume

    (July 7, 1923-August 11, 2009)
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Birth name was Kitty Jean Bilbrew
Sang 'Crawfish' with Elvis Presley in 'King Creole (1958)'
Appeared in the films 'Wall of Noise,' 'The Magnificent Matador,' and 'Kiss Me Deadly'
Recorded albums 'A Moment of Love (1956)' and 'Newborn (1962)'

Why she might be annoying:

She started in vaudeville at age three.
She went uncredited as a silhouetted singing voice in 'Night of the Hunter.'
She also allegedly went uncredited in 'Pillow Talk (1959).'
She had an extensive recording career, but is only known for her barely three-minute duet in the opening of an Elvis movie.
Her recording career waned in the early 1970's.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She had a twin sister.
She started out performing in Los Angeles nightclubs.
Her mother recorded the 1955 protest song 'The Ballad of Emmett Till.'
She recorded the demo for 'I Went to Your Wedding,' which became a No. 1 hit for Patti Page in 1953
She was a personal acquaintance of 'Night of the Hunter' author Davis Grubb.
When Charles Laughton was looking for a singer for his debut directorial film, Grubb suggested he go to a nightclub to hear hear White sing. He did and White was chosen to sing the film's haunting 'Lullaby Song.'
She later moved to Palm Springs in 1967 and sang at the Spa Hotel for 16 years.
She should have had a more prominent entertainment career after King Creole (because her vocals with Elvis are FIRE).
