Used in 'Jaws (1975),' 'Jaws 2 (1978),' 'Jaws 3-D (1983)' and 'Jaws: The Revenge (1987)'

Why he might be annoying:

In close-up, it's one of the most fake things you'll ever see.
It was named after Steven Spielberg's lawyer.
On its first day of shooting, it sank to the seabed the moment it was put in the water.
It almost never worked the way the filmmakers intended.
Repairs on the thing caused 'Jaws' to go $4 million over budget.
Because of Bruce's problems, Universal came close to shutting down production many times.
Pieces of the originals were reconstructed for three pathetic sequels.
In 'Jaws 2,' you can see the mechanics inside when it opens its mouth.
Although many people believe they are seeing an original Bruce at Universal Studios Hollywood, it's actually a replica.

Why he might not be annoying:

Because it never worked properly, Spielberg had to use subtler techniques to suggest the shark's presence, and many feel this makes the movie more terrifying.
Spielberg has publicly thanked Bruce for forcing him to make a more artful film.
For many years, 'Jaws' was the biggest box-office hit of all time.
Bruce's performances in the series were less hammy than those of Lorraine Gary.
The great white shark in 'Finding Nemo (2003)' was named in tribute to Bruce.
