Why he might be annoying:

He participated in the playoffs with the Jazz during every one of his 19 seasons in the NBA, but his team never won the championship.
He holds the record for most playoff games played in a career (182) without winning an NBA championship.
He keeps his private life private, refuses to talk much about himself and says very little in interviews.
Many people consider him to be uncool, boring, stoic, dry and virtually devoid of personality.
He is among the most inaccessible of celebrities and can be standoffish when asked for an autograph.
While the length of NBA players' shorts got longer over the years, he wore his shorts at the same length for his entire career.
During his career, he didn't frequent nightclubs, spending his road time in his hotel room reading or watching movies.
His appearance has changed little over the years and he looks pretty much the same in his 40's as he did in his early 20's.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is part of the longest-running and most famous duo in NBA history: Stockton-to-Malone.
He scored the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer in a 103-100 victory over the Houston Rockets in Game Six of the 1997 Western Conference Finals to propel the Jazz to their first trip to the NBA Finals.
He tied an NBA single-game playoff record with 28 assists against the Los Angeles Lakes in Game Five of the 1988 Western Conference Semifinals.
He played in all 82 games in 17 of his 19 seasons, missing only four games in 1989-1990 and the first 18 games of the 1997-1998 season while recovering from off-season left knee arthroscopic surgery.
He played his entire career with a single team and holds NBA records for most games played (1,504) and most seasons played (19) with one franchise.
He is one of the most determined, grittiest and competitive players ever to play in the NBA.
He could set some of the hardest picks in the NBA, even against players who were a lot bigger than he was.
He is married to his college sweetheart and is the father of four sons and two daughters.
He is exceptionally well-conditioned and works many long hours at physical training and practicing his basketball skills.
He purchased the house next to his parents' home in Spokane and spent much of the off-season there.
He rarely used an agent for contract negotiations.
His father co-owns Jack and Dan's Tavern, a sports bar in Spokane.
