The Resume

    (April 28, 1886-July 7, 1944)
    Born in Berlin, Germany
    Photojournalist
Specialized in photographing diplomatic and legal professions
Known for his innovative methods used to acquire photoshoots
    Photographed Marlene Dietrich

Why he might be annoying:

He didn't pick up a camera until he was 41.
He used to hide a small Leica camera usable in his bowler hat with a peephole cut into it to get photo exclusives.
He declined an invitation to move to the United States and work for Life Magazine.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was famous for his ability to gain entrance to high society events involving dignitaries and capture them with their guard down (making him the original 'candid camera' photographer).
He successfully snapped a photo of a police killer on trial in a Berlin criminal court which brought him into high demand.
When Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany, he fled to the Netherlands - where his career thrived.
His photo of a 1930 meeting in the Hague over German World War I reparations created a sensation when it was published in the London Graphic (it was arguably the first time the public would see world leaders making global decisions in 'the smoke filled room').
When the Nazis invaded the Netherlands, he and his family were held in the Theresienstadt concentration camp. They were later sent to Auschwitz, where they were killed.
