Hockey Player

The Resume

    (August 29, 1901-June 2, 1986)
    Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Forward for the Montreal Canadiens (1922-38)
    Hart Trophy winner (1934)
    Stanley Cup champion (1924, 1930, 1931)

Why he might be annoying:

He was criticized for being way too small by hockey pundits.
His initial acquisition by the Canadiens didn't go over well with the team's fanbase.
He wore a baseball cap on the ice when he played.
Despite being considered one of the greats from the NHL's early era, he is virtually unknown by modern hockey fans.
Despite the Canadiens claiming they co-retired his #4 alongside Jean Beliveau, there is neither a mention of it by the franchise, nor a banner hanging in the rafters of the Bell Centre.

Why he might not be annoying:

His small stature and hard working nature earned him the nickname 'The Little Giant.'
He wasn't afraid to confront players on the ice that were bigger then him.
He won three Stanley Cup rings with the Canadiens.
He was Howie Morenz's primary setup man during his tenure with the Canadiens.
He got to witness the Canadiens capture the franchise's 23rd Stanley Cup championship the week before he passed away.
