Why he might be annoying:

    He has a squeaky, high-pitched voice.
    He often spoke so fast that it was hard to keep up with him.
    He often overreacted.
    He wasn’t able to develop good chemistry with most of the color commentators he was given.
    He would shill a 1-900 number that would have him leaking wrestling news.
    He wrote a weekly commentary on 1wrestling.com, charging people to read it.
    After ECW’s demise, he joined XPW as a commentator and quit one month later.
    His catch phrase became: ‘Oh My God!’

Why he might not be annoying:

    His commentating was such a staple to ECW that he was referred to as ‘The Voice of ECW.'
    The fans seemed to respect him as much as they did the wrestlers.
    He was one of very few commentators in the history of wrestling to call matches alone.
    As a lone commentator, he excelled at both play-by-play and color commentary.
    He did all the commentary, interviews and voice overs for ECW while still holding a full-time job.
    On commentary, he would often take shots at the WWE and WCW, a risqué move at the time that was very popular amongst fans.
    He was knowledgeable about the subject of wrestling, even when it came to wrestlers from Japan and Mexico and their backgrounds.
    He excelled at knowing small facts about every single wrestler.
    He focused on the wrestling matches.
