Why he might be annoying:

He was a vicious domestic abuser, beating both of his wives and numerous girlfriends.
He also cheated on them.
He killed his second wife by throwing her off a balcony.
He only received an eleven year sentence for this crime.
He made horrible grade B (to put it nicely) movies after he retired.
He was only 14-3-3 after his first twenty fights.

Why he might not be annoying:

He's considered one of the greatest middle-weights of all time, usually ranked only behind Sugar Ray Robinson and Marvin Hagler.
He was undefeated in his last eighty plus fights.
At a muscular six foot, he usually had the height and strength advantages over his opponents.
He was an extremely hard and accurate puncher.
He was knocked down only twice in his career and never knocked out.
He was killed in a car accident while on furlough from his prison sentence.
He also beat up paparazzi.
His first wife shot him in the leg once.
