    She also wore a homemade commbadge, phaser and tricorder.
    She insisted that co-workers at the Sir Speedy print shop address her as 'commander.'
    She said, 'I always wear my uniform to formal occasions.'
    She was dropped from the jury pool after violating a court order by giving an interview to the TV show 'American Journal.'

Why she might not be annoying:

    She said she wore the uniform to promote Star Trek's 'ideals, message and good, solid values.'
    She noted sports fans can wear their team's uniform without people finding it eccentric.
    She struck a blow for gender equality by showing that being an obsessive Star Trek geek is not just for guys.
