She inspired a classic jump rope song ('Lizzie Borden got an axe, gave her mother forty wacks; when she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one').
Her likeness was immortalized as one of the Living Dead Dolls.
She left $30,000 in her will to the Fall River Animal Rescue League.
