    Despite his tournament wins, he has frequently run into money troubles thanks to losses in cash games.
    He lost over $20 million playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
    He moved to Monaco for tax purposes.
    He said about the effects of playing poker professionally, ‘I definitely became more selfish than I was fifteen years ago.’

    Before becoming a professional poker player, he had been a youth tennis champion and a world-class backgammon player.
    He was one of the founding partners of PokerChamps.com, which later sold for approximately $15 million.
    His aggressive betting style made him a favorite in televised poker tournaments.
