    Recurring role as secretary Jenny Sherman in Hawaii Five-O (1969-76)

Why she might be annoying:

    She joined the family vaudeville act, the Merry Dancing Ryans, at age three.
    She and frequent costar Donald O'Connor were dubbed 'the Mickey and Judy of B pictures.'
    She noted about her roles in those films, 'I was nineteen forever. In the meantime, I married, had a baby, and divorced.'
    She was married three times and divorced twice.

    She appeared on the debut episodes of both The Ed Sullivan Show and Milton Berle's Texaco Star Theater.
    She and her third husband adopted a part-Chinese, part-Hawaiian, part-Caucasian son.
    Her son James 'Spike' Cross died in an auto accident (1987).
    After retiring from the screen, she taught tap dancing to Vegas showgirls.
    At her 80th birthday party, she performed a song and dance routine for her former Universal Studio colleagues.
    Her ashes were scattered at the famed Hollywood sign.
