Baseball Player

The Resume

    (November 21, 1980- )
    Born in San Diego, California
Drafted 105th overall by the Texas Rangers in the 1999 Major League Baseball Draft
3rd Baseman/1st Baseman for the Texas Rangers (2002-09) and the Tampa Bay Rays (2010)

Why he might be annoying:

His actual birth name is Hank Joe, rather then Henry Joseph, which makes him sound like a redneck.
He was unfairly compared to George Brett early in his career.
His production dropped off dramatically following his second All-Star Game appearance.
He became injury prone late in his career.
His career ended on a whimper, as he was released from the Rays after the first half of the 2010 season.

Why he might not be annoying:

His dominating performance in the minor leagues earned him a promotion to the Rangers within two years.
His first All-Star appearance is remembered for him hitting the game-winning home run off Eric Gagne, giving the American League both the victory and home field advantage in the 2003 World Series.
He had a fan club named 'Hank's Homies' during his tenure with the Rangers.
He was among the first group of hitters to use the pink bat on the Mother's Day weekend.
He was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome in the last couple seasons, which played a factor in his decision to move to first base.
