The Resume

    (October 21, 1984- )
Born in New York City, New York
Technology journalist for The Washington Post
Previously worked for The New York Times, The Hill, and The Daily Mail
Accused of for doxxing 'Libs of TikTok' creator in an April 19, 2022 article

Why she might be annoying:

She has been accused of being unethical on several occasions.
She reportedly called Maggie Haberman 'a bitch' when they worked together at the New York Times.
She broke down crying on MSNBC talking about being targeted and harassed online, and then went ahead and opened up other people up to experience worse harassment.
She was unrepentant after outing a Brooklyn realtor as the ‘Libs of Tiktok’ creator - saying that it was necessary because it is 'in the public’s interest to know who’s wielding this hate account.’
The backlash was substantial enough that several YouTubers purchased a billboard in Times Square reading 'Taylor Lorenz Doxxed @ LibsofTikTok.' She called it 'so idiotic it's hilarious.'
Two YouTubers accused her of falsely claiming to have reached out for comment on the Depp-Heard trial.
The number of scandals associated with her resulted in her being moved off of Features by Washington Post, which assigns a top editor to review her work (although she denied the report).

Why she might not be annoying:

Her favorite food is Mexican cuisine.
Her favorite actress is Jennifer Aniston.
She was named to Fortune's 40 Under 40 listing for 2020 under its Media and Entertainment category.
She claims to have contemplated suicide in response to the online attacks.
She later blasted MSNBC after its segment with her discussing online harassment led to further attacks, saying: ‘You Fucked up royally.’
Tucker Carlson's attacks on her were so relentless that The New York Times was forced to issue a rare statement defending her.
Libs of TikTok gained over 200,000 new Twitter followers the day after her article was published.
