Celebrity's Relative

The Resume

    (April 20, 1989- )
    Born in Wasilla, Alaska
Son of 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin and Todd Palin.
Brother to Bristol, Willow, Piper Palin, and Trig Palin.
Enlisted with the Alaskan National Guard (2007)
Deployed to Iraq with the Delta Company, 52nd Infantry Regiment ('the Arctic Wolves) during the 2008 Presidential Election

Why he might be annoying:

He got his name because he was born during the Track/Field season.
He was at the center of the now-infamous 'Palin family brawl' which broke out at his father's fiftieth birthday party (Sept. 2014).
Either he instigated the conflict by confronting an ex-boyfriend of his sister's (Alaskan bloggers' story) or he was confronted and subsequently dog-piled by five men (the family's story).
When his mother put forth the question to the family about resigning as Governor, he allegedly said 'hell yeah.'
He made his debut on his mother's web channel by reluctantly displaying a Pro-2nd Amendment shirt, with his face out of the camera's view (Sept. 2014).
He drew criticism for keeping a gun collection worth $1,000 as part of his divorce settlement.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is an Army combat veteran who has done tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan (including in Iraq's third most deadly region, Diyala and Afghanistan's second most dangerous, the Kandahar Province).
His first deployment was while his mother was running for Vice President (she also officiated at his deployment).
It is widely believed that, during the 'brawl,' what was misconstrued as his mother saying 'do you know who I am,' was actually her saying, 'don't you know who he [Track] is? He's a vet!' to the guys dog-piling him.
His divorce received unwarranted attention from celebrity gossip websites, who used it to bash his mother (unless TMZ hasn't seen anything stranger than private citizens getting divorced).
He gave up his seat on the plane scheduled to return him home from deployment to another soldier whose family member had a medical emergency (he had to stay an additional month in Iraq).
He was subjected to a smear, in 2008, claiming that he enlisted in the military only to get out of criminal charges of vandalism on Wasilla schoolbuses (which would have been a violation of military recruiting procedure).
His Brigade Commander said 'he's a good kid and good soldier who would like to remain anonymous.... he doesn’t want to be known as the governor’s son. He wants to pave his own route in life. I have to say, I admire him for it.'
He had to put up with Levi Johnston.
