Why they might be annoying:

In the song 'Tennessee,' one of the female vocalists has a chorus verse singing: 'Headliner I challenge you to a game a horse shoes --- a game of horse shoes.'
Taree, underwent corrective surgery for her voice in 2000.
In 1996, band members placed the blame on lead vocalist Speech for the group's breakup.
    The group's second album tanked.
    Baba is a strict vegetarian.
Baba opened the band's shows with an African devotion, a prayer, dance and drums.
When Speech was a 13 year old DJ, he used the name Peech.
They are suing Fox for using the band's name for the sitcom 'Arrested Development' (November 2003).

Why they might not be annoying:

Speech has written a column for his mother's newspaper, the Milwaukee Community Journal.
Speech spent his summers with his grandparents in Tennessee.
The band's clean positive rap success lead the way for other artists such as the Fugees, The Roots and Outkast.
Former band member Dionne Farris had a solo hit with the song 'I Know.'
Baba has the Guinness record for the oldest hip hopper rapper in the world.
Rasa Don earned a college degree in cartoon animation after the group originally broke up.
Speech argued that they have a case against Fox's use of the name 'Arrested Development' for a sitcom: 'Fox has no more right to use 'Arrested Development' for its show than a band would have to name itself after one of Fox's sitcoms' (November 2003).
